Welcome to Quilt Company East Quilt Guild
Quilt Company East Quilt Guild is more than just a club, we are a diverse non-profit group with more than 160 members from all areas of interest and all quilting skill levels. Members include quilters, collectors of quilts, quilting teachers, designers and those simply interested in the art and craft of quilting. Our members come from throughout the Pittsburgh area of Western Pennsylvania including Allegheny, Westmoreland, Washington, Indiana, Fayette, Mercer, Armstrong, Erie, and Mahoning (Ohio) counties. Our members have varied interests: traditional quilts and fabric art - hand piecing and machine work - long-arm machine quilting, home machine quilting and, of course, hand-quilting.
Sharing our quilts with our relatives, our friends, and the community is an important part of our mission. Quilt Company East, founded in 1987 is a non-profit guild that provides quilters with education and instruction through classes and workshops; inspiration and growth through meetings featuring accomplished quilters, quilt designers, and quilting teachers; fellowship and support through meetings, retreats, biennial shows, programs, our newsletter, and our website; and encouragement and recognition through quilt shows, show-and-tell sessions, challenges, charitable activities, and other events. Every other year, sharing our quilts takes the form of a quilt show.
We normally meet the third Monday of each month, September through June but sometimes adjust our schedule to accommodate holidays. Join us for great fun, new ideas, and educational experiences to further the knowledge and appreciation of quilting.
Meetings start at 7:00 PM at the Beulah Presbyterian Church at 2500 McCrady Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15235. Check the time on our announcements below as a few of the meetings start earlier.
